Tampa, FL – November 7th, 2014. Amscot Financial returned again this year as a sponsor of the Salvation Army’s Tree of Lights Breakfast, held at the Tampa Convention Center. This was Amscot’s 14th consecutive year participating, with nearly $140,000 in contributions to date in support of the annual event.
A local holiday tradition, the Tree of Lights celebration offered many an opportunity to enjoy the giving spirit of the holidays, while enjoying delicious food, great music and inspirational stories shared by people whose lives have been transformed through The Salvation Army’s local programs.
All funds raised through the Tree of Lights campaign will remain in Hillsborough County to provide a safety net and a helping hand to thousands of struggling and homeless families in the coming months.
By supporting important organizations like The Salvation Army, the community is better equipped to prevent homelessness, and provide a hand up to those making the transition from homelessness to independence.
