Tampa, FL –Amscot Financial has been a long-time supporter of the Salvation Army’s Tree of Lights Breakfast. In fact, this year will mark the 15th consecutive year Amscot has returned to support the event, which will be held on November 12th at the Tampa Convention Center.
“It’s truly an honor for all of us at Amscot to support an organization that offers so much hope to so many,” said Ian MacKechnie, Amscot’s founder, chairman and CEO. “The Salvation Army’s programs have transformed countless lives here in the Bay Area and they’ll no doubt transform countless more.”
Amscot’s contributions to date total more than $140,000 towards the annual event, which will transform the Tampa Convention Center into a winter wonderland where Bay Area businesses and community leaders will share stories of hope and transformation. Celebrity Chef Jeff Henderson is the event’s Keynote Speaker, who himself is a shining example of transformation. A former felon who spent nearly a decade in prison for drugs, he is now an award-winning chef, best selling author and highly sought after public speaker.
All funds raised through the Tree of Lights campaign will remain in Hillsborough County to provide a safety net and a helping hand to thousands of struggling and homeless families in the coming months.
