Amscot Financial presented a $1,000 contribution to the Tampa Bay Academy of Hope, a grassroots agency serving low-income families who reside in the designated “Enterprise Zone” within the City of Tampa. The agency's programs are designed to help youth who are at-risk of early school dropout. The award will be received by Chief Executive Officer, James M. Evans, former NFL running back for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, servant-leader and Chairman of the Mayor's African American Advisory Council. Evans has served over 100,000 youth and parents through the Tampa Bay Academy of Hope. The donation will go towards providing direct resources for youth and parents in their “Leadership Through Education” Program which promotes rising above adversity, building self esteem, reversing violent trends and
strengthening relationships.
